Academic/Professional qualification/Training

Essential

  • GMC specialist registration with a Licence to Practice (obtained by designated start date)

Desirable

  • MRCP, MRCPCH or equivalent

  • Leadership qualification

Experience/Knowledge

Essential

  • Awareness of the importance of Clinical Governance through experience of participating in quality or safety improvement projects.
  • Experience of leading in Clinical Audit processes

Desirable

  • Extensive experience in paediatric cardiology with sufficient knowledge to counsel patients after a diagnosis of complex CHD
  • Experience of teaching students and multi-disciplinary team
  • Advanced skills in congenital echocardiography
  • Published research in peer reviewed journals in relevant area
  • Experience of working in shared care clinics and clinical networks
  • Experience of clinical leadership or management
